Welcome to the Chess Valley Archaeological and Historical Society. We have over 100 members and are always looking for new people to join in our exciting programme of events. These are some of our proposed activities for the second half of 2008:

• Geophysical surveys of a number of sites, some using our exciting new Wenner Array
• Excavation of a three sites - Mesolithic, Bronze Age and Roman
• Investigation of a 'sacred spring' site
• A metal detector survey of a little-known earthwork

...plus an extensive programme of evening talks and meetings.
